Disc 4000 Blu-ray Disc Library, 2 Drive, 270 Slot, 20TB

The DISC4000 offers the same features and performance as the DISC 7000 but with fewer slots and drives. Up to 7 drives and 400 slots make the DISC 4000 an ideal solution for high capacity data storage.

Blu-ray for Data is set to be the future high capacity archive technology with 25 or 50 GB per medium and a roadmap for 100 GB and 200 GB media capacities. Media are single side with single or multiple recording layers of 25GB capacity.

WORM (BD-R) and Rewriteable (BD-Re) media are sector type with defect management and highly efficient error correction. Blu-ray is 120mm bare media type with hardcoat surface.

Blu-ray drives are read/write compatible with CD/DVD media. Technology standardization is supported through all major drive and media manufacturers as well as the UDF file system.

Blu-ray read/write transfer rates are 9MB/s in the first generation with a roadmap for 18MB/s and 36MB/s.
